Teague PD officer Keale doesn’t miss the big city

Teague Police Department Officer David Keale came to work in Teague two years ago. He was born on Galveston Island, grew up in South Texas and worked most of his adult life at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
“In Houston you start working in law enforcement at the bottom and have to test to move up to higher levels,” Keale said. “I began as a jailer and tested to patrol officer from there.”
Keale moved to the midwest part of the country for seven years, working as a patrolman, but his love for Texas drew him back. Keale moved to Central Texas and hired on at TPD in 2015.
