Teague ISD ready for in-person, remote schooling

The Teague ISD school board tackled return to school procedures at their July 28 meeting, the last meeting before the first day of school for TISD students.

At the meeting, the school board approved the COVID-19 related procedures for the Aug. 12 return to school.

All board members were present, and all board members and administrators wore a face mask throughout the entire meeting. The 15-page re-entty plan can be found online at the TISD website or on the TISD facebook page.

Teague ISD is offering both in-class instruction and remote instruction. Regarding extra-curricular activities, a student will not be allowed to participate if they choose remote instruction.

Face masks must be worn in accordance with the governor’s order and as dictated by the campus. Students must wear a face mask on the bus and the windows will be down as well. Parents are encouraged to provide transportation to and from school if at all possible.
