Teague ISD plans for absences ahead
In response to a statewide executive order, Teague ISD extended spring break for another week while staff and educators work diligently to prepare both an online curriculum and assemble a meal plan.
“I urge you as parents and community members to prepare for an indefinite amount of time. Teague ISD will implement a consistent and diligent review process of the situation,” Superintendent Chris Skinner said in a press release. “Additionally, all extracurricular activities, practices, and athletic events are suspended while we are closed.”
Skinner acknowledged the gravity of the decision, in addition to hope that the measure will better ensure long-term health of those involved at Teague ISD. His decision came via email the same day UIL’s suspension of all extracurricular events.
