Teague City Hall to close at noon on Wednesdays

The Teague City Hall’s administration and utility offices will close at noon Wednesdays throughout November and December. City Council approved this schedule during the Oct. 20 meeting.

The purpose of the new schedule is to provide time for the staff to place, in writing, standard operating procedures, job descriptions, policies and other basic common documents which have not been done during past years.

“The temporary time allotted on the modified schedule Wednesdays will give my staff and I the opportunity to draft such documents. This will allow my staff to perform their job tasks more efficiently and effectively,” said Theresa Prasil, city administrator. “This is a problem that has existed for many years and must be addressed and rectified to be able to better serve our community and promote the success of our employees.”
