Council sets tax rate above effective tax rate

About a dozen citizens spoke on behalf of Police Chief Daniel Ramsey during the public comments section of the Monday, Aug. 21, Teague Board of Aldermen meeting.
The aldermen went into a lengthy executive session to discuss – as the agenda read -- “… the investigation and possible discipline of Police Chief Daniel Ramsey. The next portion of the executive session’s agenda read: “to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee, or to hear a complaint or charge against an officer or employ: Police Chief Daniel Ramsey.”
