Stimulus package to benefit lower and middle class primarily, businesses

In the late afternoon Wednesday, March 25, the Senate and House passed a $2 trillion economic stimulus package that would increase funding for state and local governments, federal agencies and hospitals to help with the response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Individual checks will be released to the public though some estimate weeks or longer before the money is dispersed. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin suggested April 6 as a deadline, also intending banks to originate loans the same day as applied for.
