Sales tax returns for April down in Freestone County

All four Freestone County cities reported in the red for the most recent period.

Fairfield received $106,142.13 in April, a decrease of 0.26 percent less than April 2020, when the city received $106,425.10. Year-to-date, Fairfield has received $546,567.75, an increase of 2.50 percent over the last year at this time, when the city had received $533,202.73 year-to-date.

Streetman received $4,481.32, a decrease of 0.88 percent less than April 2020, when the city received $4,521.43. Year-to-date, Streetman has received $25,161.96, an increase of 35.45 per-cent over the last year at this time, when the city received $18,576.45 year-to-date.

Teague received $33,776.37, a decrease of 23.24 percent less than April 2020, when the city received $44,005.25. Year-to-date, Teague has received $189,205.21, a decrease of 4.62 per-cent less than last year at this time, when the city received $198,379.50 year-to date. Wortham received
