Routine meeting for county

Freestone County Judge Linda Grant announced last week that the Sunshine Committee did not accept the recommendation of the state to close 87 driver’s license offices. Freestone County’s office was on that list.

“We received information that all members turned down the recommendation and will not be closing our office,” said Grant during the Wednesday, Sept. 5 meeting.
