Righty Run scheduled Feb. 24

It’s time again for the Righty Run to help raise awareness of the many unborn babies, infants and children who have strokes. The 1k and 5k will take place at Fairfield Lake State Park at 8 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 24.

Alex’s pediatric stroke survivor story began in 2007 when he was diagnosed with infantile spasms, which are a rare and very dangerous seizure disorder that affects infants. That diagnosis lead to an MRI which determined that he had suffered a stroke in utero. Alex was given daily injections of ACTH for seven weeks to stop the seizures and began therapy for the effects of the stroke.
