Aldermen sworn in at monthly meeting
For the first time in more than a year due to COVID issues and protocols, all five City of Teague aldermen attended the monthly meeting on Monday night, May 17, in person.
At the beginning of the meeting, Place 2 Alderman Rhonda Jones, Place 4 Alderman Chris Nickleberry and Place 5 Aldermen Ryan Mathison took their oath of office from Mayor James Monks.
Monks read a Juneteenth Freedom Day Proclamation declaring Saturday, June 19, as “Juneteenth Freedom Day” in Teague.
