Parade kicks off Teague Rodeo on Thursday

The 4th of July festivities in Teague will begin at 6 p.m. today, July 1, with the Teague 4th of July parade. The line-up for the parade will start at 5:30 p.m. near Circle Hardware. A best dressed cowboy and best dressed cowgirl will be chosen again this year.

The Teague Chamber of Commerce will be selling hamburgers at the old fire station. Only to-go orders will be served for $10 each.

The 91st annual 4th of July UPRA-CPRA Rodeo will be held July 1-3 with performances beginning at 8 p.m. each day

There will be bareback riding, calf roping, barrel racing, bull riding, saddle bronc, team roping, and the world famous wild cow milking.

The Teague Rodeo is one of the oldest, wildest, and most famous rodeos in the state. The first Teague Rodeo was held in 1929.
