New clerk for TPD

The City of Teague and Teague Police Department has a new police and court clerk who started Wednesday, Oct. 3. Ludivina Avalos grew up in Teague and attended school in Teague from kindergarten to the eighth grade. Avalos moved to Mexia and graduated from Mexia High School. Avalos has three grown children who she was able to spend a great deal of time with while working for Mexia Independent School District. “I worked with the City of Teague for 15 years,”

Avalos said. “I began with the fire department for five years and finished with the Mexia Police Department for 10 years.” Avalos moved into the school district to have summers free in order to spend time with her children. “My kids are all grown now,” Avalos, said. “I no longer need my summer free.”
