Motions to be filed in Black case

During Dabrett Black’s Jan. 10 pre-trial hearing, 87th District Judge Patrick Simmons gave attorneys three dates in which to have motions filed for the upcoming trial.
If Black’s defense, led by attorney Susan Anderson, is seeking a change of venue the motion must be filed by Feb. 15. County Attorney Brian Evans’ response motion must be filed by March 15.
