Killin’ it!

After coming up one point short of a bi-district win last season, the Lady Lions made sure that didn’t happen again Monday, Oct. 30, with a threegame (25-23, 25-21, 25-21) sweep of Rio Vista at Corsicana High School. Senior Caelyn Thompson was a big part of Teague’s first playoff win since 2002, recording 16 kills – mostly from the middle as setter Macy Gurerero (39 assists) fed her often. When asked if she knew she was going to be such an integral part of the offense,

Thompson replied, “No I did not; I really didn’t. But, whoever has the hottest hand gets fed the most.” Teague head volleyball coach Ashley Montalvo agreed.
