June bows out about normal on rainfall, temps

June 2021 followed a near-record wet5 May with slightly above normal rainfall at 4.34 inches in the Fairfield area. We had seven days with measurable rainfall with a greatest one-day total of 1.53 inches on June 28. Normal June rainfall is 4.02 inches.

Total rainfall for the year stands at 28,.29 inches. Normal through June is 24.23 inches. Our record wettest June was 13.26 inches in 2004. Record driest June was 0.23 inches in 2008.

Temperature-wise, June was normal with highs mostly in the mid-80s to low-90s and lows in the mid-60s to low-70s. High temperatures for the month was 96 degrees on June 14, 17 and 21. Low temperature was 63 degrees on June 2.
