Hunting violations lead to felony charge against Freestone County man
A Freestone County Game Warden arrested a local man July 25 for hunting violations as a part of Operation Game Thief.
Alvin Lee Strong, 44, was booked on three charges of hunting provisions violations and one charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He was released on a $19,000 surety bond on July 26. According to reports, the arrest came when Game Warden Sam Anderson received a call about someone shooting deer. Anderson reported finding a quartered deer in a cooler under the suspect’s porch. Following an interview, three Class A misdemeanor warrants and a 3rd degree felony warrant were executed.
