Marie Lawrence has been involved in supporting Teague in so many ways. She has freely given of her time and energy to make Teague a better place, on her own and with her late husband, Dick Lawrence, as well.
Ethel Marie Pope was born in Kingsville, Texas, on August 13, 1929 to Clifford and Elizabeth Pope. Her family moved to Teague June 19, 1937 when she was seven years old. From that point on she developed a deep abiding love for the Teague community. Marie has done so much that it would probably be easier to list what she hasn’t accomplished instead of what she has.
