Harvey brings out rain, Good Samaritans
There’s a reason Texas is known as the friendly state. When a neighbor is in need, Texans are there to help. Numerous Freestone County first-responders and residents are lending a hand after Hurricane Harvey made landfall, decimating the areas and displacing thousands of people.
Harvey hit the small coastal town of Rockport at 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, as a Category 4.
Freestone County has fared well with rain from the storm with no flooding or road closures as of press-time Tuesday. Harvey was expected to move back in and make a second landfall Wednesday morning at Galveston Bay.
