Freestone County prepares against virus, cancels in cautions

Freestone County communities are taking precaution against the spread of the coronavirus, commonly known at COVID-19.

The City of Teague acknowledged CDC guidelines by adopting an 8-week cancellation of events. “The City of Teague is monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation and is taking preventive measures to help prevent the spread of the virus. The City is encouraging our citizens to socially distance themselves during this time,” City Administrator Theresa Bell said. “We understand and are saddened that several events are being postponed or canceled but during a time like this we all must do what we can to make a difference and help end this pandemic.”
