Freestone Baptist celebrates 100th

Freestone Baptist Church is celebrating its 100th anniversary, beginning Sunday, Aug. 13,

It all started, according to the original minutes, “on Saturday night, August 18, 1917, we met for the purpose of organizing a missionary Baptist church. The following brethren and sisters came forth and went into the organization. Brother and Sister John Allison and sister Rosa Allison. And the church was named the First Baptist Church of Freestone.
