Emery Black: A Texas Ranch Brigade experience

Fifteen-year-old Emery Black has been interested in ranching for most of her life, early on watching her father taking care of the livestock at their home in Dew.
“My whole family has always had some sort of livestock or cattle,” she said.
Growing up, when Emery wasn’t being homeschooled by her mother, Marsha Black, the little girl would follow her father, Martin Black, around their land as he cared for the cattle, goats and other animals.
“It always seemed natural to me,” Emery said.
