EDC has plans for Old City Hall, other building

Following the lead of downtown restoration women Jonita Cannon, The Teague Hotel; Melinda Lee, The Painted Pony; LaDonna Turner, LaDonna’s Yoakum Place; and Melissa Satterwhite, Junkin’ for Joy; the Teague Economic Development Corp. has acquired some of the properties downtown and is working on plans to put new rooves on them and make sure they are structurally sound.
“Our first priority is to make sure that the buildings are kept dry and to stop further deterioration,” said Bill Elliott, TEDC director.
