EDC holds first meeting in renovated Building
The Economic Development Corporation of Teague Inc. met for the first time Tuesday, Feb. 4, in its new building located at 411 Main St.
The Board of Directors admired surroundings and a new laminate floor before diving into new and old business at hand, some of which pertained to the new building’s furnishings.
The building was purchased nearly two years ago, previously containing a dirt floor and three existing brick walls from the previous structure’s better days.
Bay windows now invite the public in from the street, with a recently completed floor stained brown. The building features three offices, an open-floor entryway with an executive meeting table and leather chairs, and a break room featuring cabinets and a kitchenette. Two ADA-compliant restrooms also line the back hallway.
Utilizing framework from the ashes of the old, the EDC Board completed the new building and used the walls, which have since been weatherproofed.
