On the evening of June 12 the city received multiple calls of a water leak on South 11th Street at Oak Street. A City on-call employee responded and discovered a major water leak in front of the fire hydrant.
Jacob Cowling, Director of Public Works and Safety Coordinator said, “When I got the call I informed him to get a couple more employees out there and dig it up to see what was going on.
They found that the six inch ductile iron T was leaking from the gland that was going to the fire hydrant.”
