City hires for all open positions Wednesday evening

Two new patrol officers, one new animal control, code enforcement, 911 coordinator and one utility clerk were hired at a special called meeting of the City of Teague Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Christopher (CJ) Condren took his first official post as a police officer with the Teague Police Department, Monday Feb. 11.

Condren, 28, is married to Teague ISD coach/teacher Chelsie Condren and the two have two children.

“I can remember playing outside riding bicycles and running around at night and never considered not being safe and our parents didn’t worry about us as much,” Condren recalled. “I want to do my best to make sure the city is safe for kids to play outside again.”
