City creates new Christmas in the Parks Committee

The City of Teague approved the creation of a new Christmas in the Parks Committee Monday, Dec. 19 during a regular meeting of the Teague City Council.

“Because Christmas in the Park is a City sponsored event, there needs to be an official committee with with at least two aldermen, two staff members and seven community members,” Teague City Administrator Theresa Prasil said. “Because of all of the confusion of late, regarding what belongs to whom, the City needs to protect itself regarding this event for the future.”

Prasil stated the cities desire for the current committee to merge with this new committee in order to continue doing the work to grow the Christmas in the Parks event every year.
