CASA advocate seeks help from retired teachers

An associate supervisor for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is recruiting volunteers from the Freestone County Retired Teachers Association.

The social worker from Bryan continued to explain in depth that teachers are not unlike CASA volunteers. They are compassionate, objective, self-motivated individuals from the community. Some work fulltime and others stay at home or are retired. “All are passionately committed to helping children,” she said, “and you are badly needed.”
