Businesses open doors at 50% occupancy
Businesses in the City of Teague were able to open their doors again on Friday, May 1st, after being closed for more than a month due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, businesses could only open at 50% occupancy due to regulations.
“We are requiring all businesses to operate at 50% occupancy and to follow all the recommendations and requirements set forth by Governor Abbott,” City of Teague Administrator Theresa Bell said on Friday.
As businesses opened on Friday, county officials announced the confirmation of two new cases of COVID-19 in Freestone County for a total of five cases in the county.
