Burton joins Chronicle team

A long-time West Texas mass-media instructor and journalist is joining the Chronicle, moving to Fairfield from the Lubbock area. Curtis Burton primarily will provide news coverage for the Teague area, but he will also assist the Chronicle’s sister papers, The Fairfield Recorder, The Mexia News and Groesbeck Journal.
He recently moved from Paducah, his hometown, to be near family members who live in Fairfield.
Although he lived most of his adult life in San Antonio, he taught and worked in several capacities in the newspaper arena in Texas and New Mexico. He is now coming out of retirement to work again.
