Brookshire Brothers serves community despite winter storm

Brookshire Brothers was one of the many places that served the community recently during the winter storm that left many without electricity, water, internet, and phone service for hours, days, and some for the week or longer.

Jason Walthall has been with Brookshire Brothers for 25 years and has served as the Store Director for the Teague Brookshire Brothers for the past six years.

“I grew up in this area, and I am proud to work for a company that allows me to provide for and be involved in the community that I love,” Walthall said. “Brookshire Brothers is all about serving our communities, especially in their times of greatest need.”

When asked what he saw during the winter storm, Walthall said, “Everyone in the community pulled together to help their neighbors. We had officers giving our employees rides to work, and customers offering to take food to those that couldn’t get out.”

Brookshire Brothers was closed on Monday, February 15, due to a power outage following the snow that fell on Sunday night and Monday morning.
