Bodine, Whitaker named top of the class

Katelin Bodine and Benjamin Whitaker have been named the top students in the Class of 2018. Valedictorian, Katelin Bodine is graduating with a grade point average (GPA) of 4.887 and Salutatorian, Ben Whitaker, followed closely behind with a GPA of 4.871. Both students are from Teague and have completed grades K-12 at TISD. Katelin is the daughter of Joseph (Jody) and Melissa Bodine. Her father works for the BNSF Railroad and is the Fire Chief for the Teague Volunteer Fire Department. Her mother, Melissa Bodine is an RN with Jordan Health Services.

“My parents have inspired me to reach my goals,” said Katelin. “They have taught me about hard work and service to others.” “I have loved attending THS because there is a chance to be a part of everything that happens,” said Katelin. “In this school you are not limited.” Katelin has taken advantage of the numerous challenges and activities that are offered.
