Board of Aldermen begin discussion on bridge in Mimosa Lane

All board members were present for the City of Teague Board of Aldermen meeting on Monday night, March 15. Alderman Place #1 Jerry Ballew attended the meeting online.

The city council held a public hearing for the purpose of receiving citizens input to declare four vehicles a public nuisance in the City of Teague. The vehicles are located at 421 Ash Street and 105 Clio Street. There were originally ten vehicles on the agenda, but six of the vehicles had been taken care of before the meeting by the owners.

According to the City of Teague Ordinance Sec. 8.701, a junked vehicle is any vehicle that is self-propelled and 1.) displays an expired license plate or does not display a license plate; 2.) is wrecked, dismantled or partially dismantled of discarded; or 3.) is inoperable and had remained inoperable for more than: (A) Seventy-two (72) hours if the vehicle is on public property; or (B) Thirty (30) consecutive days if the vehicle is on private property.
