‘The Little Mermaid’ graces Freestone school stages
The Trinity Star Arts Council brings in a literature-based stage production each February for Freestone County school districts, selecting “The Little Mermaid” for its play this year. Across two performance, organizers estimated that 1,500 children between second and fifth grade saw the production.
“‘The Little Mermaid’ production was very professional and the kids were totally engaged, displaying concentration, good theater manners and especially enjoying the Q&A at the end,” said Rachel Bossier, noting that six performers stayed to answer inquiries. “The students were able to join the puppets and performers on stage in a Marionette Clinic.”
