Will present discontent be resolved?

Edmund Burke, English philosopher and member of Parliament, wrote in a 1770 book “Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontent.” His thoughts have been lost in the mists of time but he was the pivot at the age of political modernity, the thinker on whose shoulders much of the Anglo-American tradition of representative government rests. He crystallized the thought of liberal individualism; a set of basic assumptions about the rights of individuals that previously belonged to King and his court. Nothing so glorifies his philosophy as the words in our constitution ”We the People.”
