Only partial victory?

I’m going to pull another story from the annals of the book of Second Kings in the Old Testament, a story that you probably have never heard of before, or at least not much if any at all. If you’ll recall, I spoke about the floating axe head a few weeks ago from Second Kings, chapter six. This week I’m going to focus on a story about the “nearsightedness”, if you will, of king by the name of Jehoash, who was one of the kings of Israel. Now the trouble with speaking about some of these kings of the Old Testament, is that they are people we’ve never heard of because of their weird names.
