Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I noticed city officers enforcing code violations on two subjects, one you would really have to ride and look for. this morning you can’t see it just riding down the streets.

But there are old houses and junk cars on some of the main streets that are really eye sores and have been tahat way for years.

Teague City have about four or five employees riding up and down the streets dodging pot holes everyday, I guess they don’t see these things.

And Mimosa Bridge, really now, even a bid for $150,000 is ridiculous, to get a ditch cleaned out is job. When they do something to a ditch they leave dirt piled up on the side of the streets or on someone’s property, don’t mention the creek on Jackson Street.

When it rains a couple of days the intersection on Jackson and MLK gets three feet high, water gets in people’s yards, we can’t get the thing cleaned out, let alone spending $150 on it.
