Letters to the Editor

My reason for writing this letter stems from our local leadership having abandoned our commitment to our youth of the community and area by shutting down the Teague Swimming Pool. The communities of Groesbeck and Mexia also have facilities for their youth and continue this important aspect of our total efforts in serving the citizens. Our pool was built around 1953, if I recall correctly and it has served us well through the years. Why was it shut down? We were told that it was too costly.
