Overton program to show how to reduce winter feeding costs

Beef cattle producers hoping to cut costs and maximize winter grazing should attend an Aug. 24 program in Overton focused on reducing winter feeding with stockpiled forages and winter pasture, coordinators said.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service program will be presented by Dr. Jason Banta, AgriLife Extension beef cattle specialist, and Dr. Vanessa Corriher-Olson, forage specialist, both in Overton. The event is 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, 1710 N. Farm-to- Market Road 3053.
