Lemons signs to play at Mary Hardin-Baylor

Travis Lemons signed a letter of intent on National Signing Day on Feb. 5 to play football at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

After signing, the Teague High School senior gave credit to his workout partner, his role model, his dad, Todd Lemons.

Asked the key to his improvement over the year, Lemons replied, “I have to say my dad. We have a gym at home and we work out there almost every day.”

Lemons began working out with his dad when he was 12 years old. They began with free weights and have progressively added more equipment over the years.

Lifting weights has been a bonding experience for father and son, as well as a source of competition.
