Lady Lions knock-off Westwood 12-2; Fall to Franklin 14-4

The Teague Lady Lions knocked-off Westwood 12-2 and fell to Franklin 14-4 this past week. The Lady Lions are 15-4 overall and 6-3 in district play.

Teague is currently in fourth place in district play. Fairfield is in first place as Groesbeck and Franklin are tied for second place.

On Tuesday night, the Lady Lions traveled to Westwood and brought home a 12-2 road win over the Lady Panthers. Teague scored a run in the second, three runs in the third, two runs in the fifth, and six runs in the sixth to bring home the victory.

Kaylee Cuevas pitched for the Lady Lions as she gave up four hits and struck out eleven batters. Cuevas went yard in the second inning and Tori Skinner hit a homerun in the fifth inning.
