Mr. McAdams passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, at his residence near Teague.

William Grady McAdams, Jr. was born on November 19, 1936, to William Grady Sr. and Maurine McAdams. He was known by several other names over the years, Biggon, Mac, Daddy, and in his later years, Grandy. He was raised in the Dew Community until he joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17 and served for 20 years from 1954 to 1974.

He also enjoyed driving young ladies to the Prom in his 1957 Chevy. His grandkids and great-grandkids were the delight of his life. He and Dorothy enjoyed traveling and went to many different places but he really enjoyed going out west to see the “wide open spaces.” Mr. McAdams was a member of Freestone Baptist Church but in his last few years had been a part of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague.
