Mary Bonner

Graveside services for Mary Bonner, 86, took place Monday, July 9 at Bonner Cemetery near Fairfield. The Reverend Richard Gillet officiated. Visitation was Sunday July 8 with the family present at the funeral home. Bonner passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Houston. Mary was born in Fairfield March 2, 1932 to Alvin McAdams and Myrtis Childs. She married Walter Bonner April 10, 1948 and moved to Teague. They shared over 41 years of marriage and raised three children together. Mary was a dedicated homemaker and mom to her family. She attended First United Methodist Church in Teague for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Vicky B. Davis of Tyler, Tambra Scott and husband Mark of Cypress; one son, Danny Weldon Bonner and wife Gay of Houston; seven grandchildren, Marty Davis, Mika Mills, Danny Weldon Bonner, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Steven Bonner and wife Jarah, Laura Bonner, Rob Scott and wife Sara, Jacob Scott; three great-grandchildren, Bleston Mills, Knox Bonner, Carson Jane Bonner; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Bonner was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wirt Bonner; her parents; six brothers, Ellis McAdams, Marshall McAdams, Milton McAdams, Richard McAdams, Jack McAdams, and Bobby McAdams; five sisters, Myrtle Walthall, Callie Brown, Verdie Cannon, Ruby Bess Willard, and Dot Orand.
