Helen Lowell Owens Patterson

Helen Lowell Owens Patterson, 92, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Fairfield. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 17 at Round Prairie Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Ridge officiating. Interment followed at Wortham Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Brown, Ricky Brown, Robert Thurston, Terry Sartor and Billy Ray Patterson. Patterson was born Nov. 25, 1925 in Freestone County to parents, Thomas Martin Owens and Lauretta H. Ward Owens. She married Roy Virgle Patterson in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1979. In the late 1950’s Patterson became a nurse and worked in that capacity for over 25 years. She loved her church and her family. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Virgle Ray Patterson; a daughter-in-law, Jan Patterson; four brothers and seven sisters. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Roy Lynn Patterson; a grandson, Roy Lynn Patterson, Jr. and wife Jana; one great-granddaughter, Natalie Lynn Patterson; several nieces and nephews.
