Barry Trent Hall

Funeral services for Barry Trent Hall, 71, took place Saturday, Nov. 3, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Brother Gene Hazell officiated. Interment followed the services at Dew Cemetery with Firefighter Honors provided by the Houston Fire Department.

Visitation was Thursday, Nov. 1, at Rosewood Funeral Home, 17404 W. Lake Houston, Humble.

Visitation also took place prior to the service Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.

Barry Trent Hall passed away Oct. 29, 2018, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood.

Barry was born to Lowell Day Hall and Agnes Daniel Hall Oct. 3, 1947 in Holland. While he lived in several towns during his youth, he always considered the Lanely/Dew area to be home. He graduated with the class of 1965 in Teague.

Barry was a professional firefighter and served over 42 years with the Houston Fire Department, retiring in April of 2011. He achieved the rank of District Chief and for 32 years was responsible for services on the northeast side of Houston.

Barry was a member of the Atascocita United Methodist Church. He loved sports of all kinds and was an avid golfer. He spent many years coaching his children, grandchildren, and anyone else who needed his help. Most recently he enjoyed spending time on and maintaining his ranch in Burnet.

Barry was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Hall; his father, Lowell Day Hall; and his sister, Nell Rose Burns. He is survived by his wife of 47-years, Carolyn Baty Hall; his two sons, Steven Trent Hall and wife Keri of Kingwood, and Jeffrey Blaine Hall of Houston; his two grandchildren, Danielle Elizabeth Hall and Brandon Trent Hall; his sister Agnes Marie Hall of Teague, his brother Lowell Glenn Hall and wife Wanda of Teague; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
