DPS Trooper Chad Walker give his all in the line

The unthinkable happened in Limestone County on Friday night, March 26, as DPS Trooper Chad Walker gave his life while serving his community in a senseless shooting by another individual.

“After extensive life-saving efforts conducted by the Baylor Scott and White medical professionals, it has been determined that Trooper Chad Walker no longer displays signs of viable brain activity and he remains on life support until he can share the gift of life as an organ donor,” the Texas Department of Public Safety released on Monday afternoon, March 29. “The final sacrifice embodies Trooper Walker’s actions throughout his life and service as a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper.

The Walker family is grateful for the continued support and prayers as they remain at Chad’s side.”

It was the ultimate sacrifice for Trooper Walker. However, the gift of life will continue in others who receive his organs to help them live.
