PACK: A MAN OF THE COMMUNITY

Earnest G. Pack has been the mayor of Teague for over 20 years. He has been mayor as long as some can remember. He has also owns Pack’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service, with his wife, of 51 years. Due to health reasons, Mayor Pack has chosen to retire from accounting and close his business.

Earnest Pack was born on May 11, 1937 to Calvin Houston and Cecil Jones Pack and grew up on the family farm. When he was young he remembers his parents plowing the fields with mules, but around 1940 they bought a tractor and Earnest was plowing fields before he turned 10 years old.
