Lion band competes at UIL Area Marching contest

The Teague Lion Band went to the UIL Area D Marching Contest at Bastrop ISD Stadium in Cedar Creek Saturday, Dec. 12.

The band competed at 3:38 p.m. and placed 12th amongst other bands in competition.

“Although this was not the result we were hoping for, there is too much to be proud of given this difficult marching season,” Director of Bands Cory Hiles said. “Scores were improved from a year ago, difficulty level of reading music and marching was enhanced, fought through three-weeks of quarantine to make it to the Region Marching Contest where we took straight 1s in our 3A class.”
