Lost evidence contributes to verdict in the case of sex assault of child

A jury found James Minefee not-guilty Thursday, Nov. 9, of two counts of indecency with a child.
Minefee, 64, faced the two second-degree felony charges following his 9-year-old stepgranddaughter’s allegations Dec. 31, 2016, of an incident she said took place the night before.
