About 2,000 attended the funeral of fallen DPS Trooper Damon Allen on Friday, Dec. 1, including an estimated 1,000 law enforcement officers from across Texas and even other states.
Also attending the ceremony were Texas Gov. Greg Abott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, State Sen. Charles Schwertner, State Rep. Kyle Kacel, State Sen. Lois Kolkhorst, State Sen. John Whitmire and others.
