Alderman Hertenberger resigns

In a surprise move at Teague City Hall on Wednesday morning, Marie Hertenberger resigned from her position as city alderman. She approached city administrator Theresa Prasil, returned to her the issued laptop which is used at the meetings and briefly said, “I quit.” She gave no other explanation.

When contacted by The Teague Chronicle this afternoon, Hertenbergen said she would give an explanation later on and she would attend Monday night’s council meeting but not as an alderman.

Prasil said she was surprised, but she offered no other response.
